CONCLUSIONS:
- The number of corneocyte layers decreased with Lac-Hydrin® lotion while the opposite happened with Curél® Continuous Comfort® Fragrance Free lotion, namely a definite increase.
- The reduced number of corneocyte layers with Lac-Hydrin® lotion suggests a weakening of the horny layer barrier. Curél® Continuous Comfort® Fragrance Free lotion has strengthened the barrier by increasing the number of cell layers.
